Returns, Parts and Limited Warranty Policies
- Defective or Damaged Product
It is our goal to assist our dealers in resolving product issues in a timely and effective manner. However, it is the dealer’s responsibility to open and inspect merchandise prior to delivering to the end consumer. Some minor touch up and deluxing of the product may be necessary and is considered normal. If during this process you find a defect or shipping damage, contact your customer service rep to obtain a return authorization number and place a new item on order. If the product was delivered on an AWF truck, AWF will exchange the product on the next scheduled Route. When product is picked up at our warehouse it is the dealer’s responsibility to return the merchandise for exchange. All defective or damaged goods must be reported within 14 days of receipt of goods.
AWF does not accept used furniture for credit. Used furniture is defined as follows: merchandise that has been placed in the consumer’s home for any length of time or has been used as a floor sample. Once the merchandise is placed in the consumers home or displayed on your showroom floor it is considered used and any damage or defect will be handled as a warranty issue. AWF does not have a loner program. If the dealer makes the decision to loan damaged or defective goods to the consumer, AWF will treat the loaned goods as a warranty issue. - Stock Merchandise
All stock merchandise returned to us must be in the ORIGINAL UNOPENED FACTORY SEALED CARTON with all packing intact. The carton must also be free of all markings and it must be in its new saleable condition. To return stock merchandise to AWF, our Customer Service department must be called within 14 days of receipt of goods. At that time you will be given a Return Authorization number. If the product was delivered to you on an AWF truck, AWF will pick up the product on the next scheduled route. When product is picked up at our warehouse it is the dealer’s responsibility to return the merchandise to our facility. There will be no restocking fee or freight charges if the return is the result of an AWF error. Otherwise, there will be a 10% restocking fee and normal freight charges will apply.
All product returned to us will be inspected before credit is issued to your account.
Special orders are not returnable or refundable.
AWF warrants that its merchandise to be free from manufacturing defects (workmanship and/or material) for a period of one year from the date of purchase. In that first year AWF will warranty both parts and labor. After the first year AWF will supply parts when available from the MFG.
This warranty is made SOLELY TO THE RETAILER and is NOT TRANSFERABLE under any circumstances. These limited warranties do not apply to any merchandise purchased “as is” or second-hand. It is the retailer’s responsibility to contact AWF with a claim. We will not handle claims from consumers directly; all requests must go through the retailer who sold the merchandise to the consumer. We advise all retailers to retain invoices for a minimum of 1 year for warranty purposes. No warranty, expressed or implied, applies to any condition resulting from misuse or abuse, or any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care, damages incurred during assembly or maintenance, or damages incurred by accidents or abuse.
Cost of packaging and shipping merchandise or parts to and from AWF are not covered by the warranty.
Warranty is void for any of the following conditions: Bedding that is soiled or shows water mark of any kind. Improper maintenance or improper use resulting in damage. Any product modifications made by dealer, consumer, or other parties not authorized by AWF. Products designated “as is” at the time of purchase. Product that is used for industrial, commercial or institutional use.
Some manufacturers carry warranties beyond the first year. For example, bedding and adjustable bases. AWF will help facilitate these warranties to the extent of the manufacturer’s ability to perform. See price list for details.
AWF and its dealers (including their licensors and suppliers) disclaim any and all warranties not provided in these Warranty provisions, including but not limited to express or implied warranties of quality, performance, merchantability, and/or fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
